Every member of the Chamber benefits through his or her membership by networking contacts, promotion of business, or selling opportunities. The Chamber offers all members the opportunity to grow and prosper in the Hendersonville area. As an added benefit, the Hendersonville Chamber offers programs to help members do even more business with other members and the community. The Member 2 Member Discount Program allows Chamber members to give and receive a special discounts available to members of the Hendersonville Area Chamber of Commerce as well as the community as a whole. This represents an opportunity for you to increase sales and save money on your purchases. There is no charge for members to take advantage of this opportunity. Member Only Referrals happen when members and community residents contact the Chamber needing a business referral. The Chamber staff only releases the information of members in good standing.
Office Depot National Chamber Program - The Hendersonville Chamber has joined the National Chamber Program with Office Depot. As a Chamber member, you will receive special volume pricing, account billing (you won’t need a credit card), special pricing/volume pricing bands, store purchasing cards for in store purchases, able to link business or personal credit cards to special pricing, on-line billing and private e-commerce site (always know your price), ability to set up approval process online, local account manager, ad specialty items – greeting cards, cups, shirts, etc., special pricing in copy/print centers ($.03 black & white - $.39 color copies), design & print - submit all your copy jobs online including special printing, techdepot – all your technical needs, furniture/space planning and design, and Keurig single cup gourmet coffee. Membership Plaque to be displayed in the lobby or front office will provide validity as a Chamber member business. Customer perception is that Chamber members tend to be more reputable, display good business practices, care more about customers, are community leaders, provide better products and services and have more credibility over non-members.
Chamber Lobby Collateral Display allows consumers access to members print material. Brochures and business cards are on display in the Chamber Lobby on a rotational basis.
Online Member Directory provides members with a listing and Link to the member website from the Chamber site. This resource is used by members and non-members visiting the Chamber website. We currently list member business name, address, phone and fax number and website.
Preferred Business Directory is a publication printed annually by the Chamber that is used by members and new residents seeking information on area businesses. Used much like a phone directory, this is stated as being the most widely used in our community.
Meeting Space is available to members in a variety of ways. The Chamber offers three meeting spaces for members to use during normal business hours. The Conference Room is available to rent for meetings and seminars and we offer our Business Accelerator Training Room and Small Conference Room to members for free. Reservations are required but can be obtained by calling the Chamber office.
Ribbon Cutting and Grand Opening Assistance is available to members-only. The Chamber helps coordinate ribbon cuttings by inviting the Mayor's office, elected officials representing Hendersonville, community newspapers and Chamber Ambassadors to the event. The Chamber Provides the ribbon, scissors and camera to post picture on Facebook and Twitter. Fees may apply.
E-newsletter is a weekly email Chamber publication which allows members to keep up with pertinent Chamber information, upcoming events, members making news and outside Chamber resources such as the TN and US Chambers of Commerce.
Members Making News is a weekly opportunity for members to have a story about their business included in the Chamber e-newsletter which is emailed to over 800 email addresses, posted on the home page of the Chamber website for one week and posted to Twitter. Members are allowed to submit a newsworthy item to the Director of Marketing to be included for free.
Committee Involvement is a great way to be involved while building relationships with other committee members. The Chamber currently runs 17 active committees.
Educational Seminars are occasionally offered to members through the Business Accelerator or MVP Seminar Series. Seminars in the past have included social networking, website needs and functionality, sales and marketing, Quickbooks and financing, and time management. Some fees may apply.
Member Orientation is held each month and is designed to help members navigate Chamber membership and the online members-only section of the website. This is a great opportunity to meet other members and gain greater knowledge of the Chamber and how to make it work the best it can for your company. This meeting is free and lunch is provided.
Volunteer State Community College is a wonderful resource in our community. The Chamber offers members and their employees the opportunity to apply for a Chamber scholarship in the amount of $2,500 to be given out each year.
